The Hideout is a private residential community located near Lake Wallenpaupack in northeastern Pennsylvania.
The community is spread across approximately 4,000 acres of wooded land, and features a mix of single-family homes, townhouses, and vacant lots.
The community has a range of amenities that cater to both adults and children, including six lakes (including Roamingwood Lake, which is the largest), two outdoor pools, a beach, a ski hill, a golf course, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields, and hiking trails.

The Hideout has two outdoor swimming pools and two beaches.
The Main Lodge offers hourly non-power boat rentals: Paddleboats, rowboats, canoes, double kayaks, and kayaks along with chaise lounges also available at the North Pool.
There are different activities going on throughout the week at the Main Pool. Aqua Aerobics, Beach Bingo, Pool Games, Art at the Beach and Ceramics on the Beach.
Three Beach Parties are held at the Main Lodge Beach on the Holiday weekends along with Fireworks, Boat Regatta, and Little Miss and Mr. Pageant on July 4th weekend.
The Aquatics Department offers a large variety of swim lessons.
The Hideout has its very own Swim Team that competes against other communities throughout the area.

This complete, four season, recreational community maintains over forty (40) miles of paved roads and modern central sewer and water systems.
Also located within the community are Windemere Lake (1 acre); Hidden Lake (1 acre); and Big Springs Pond (3 acres). Guests are greeted by our Entrance Pond (3.2 acres) and eventually makes its way down to Lake Wallenpaupack via Ariel Creek.
A Recreational Community:
24 Hour Security, Gated Entrance, Public Utilities, Central Water and Sewer, Clubhouse, Lodge, Campgrounds, 250 Acres Of Pristine Woodlands, and a Dog Park.
Recreation Galore:
Recreational Sports Complex, Golf Course, Indoor/Outdoor Tennis, Power Boat Lake, Two Sand Beaches, Two Heated Outdoor Pools, Physical Fitness Center, Mini Golf, Art Center, Woodworkers Building, a Ski Lift and Lodge and a Tubing Run.
